Back from Japan

I'm back!!

Normally when i'm overseas, i'll tend to miss Singapore and feel that the country i'm in pales in comparison to the place i'm born. I'll feel homesick and miss my birthplace tremendously. When it's time to go back home to the lion city, i'll be elated. However, this time round, those feelings do not apply. I like Japan. Haha!!

People there are courteous. Drivers seldom sound their horns on the road. Taxis are able to drop and pick passengers anywhere and other drivers are able to compromise. Unlike the CBD area that allows taxis to pick/drop passengers only at designated areas which are pathetically insufficient. I think the authority has relaxed the rules... Japan is clean and the people there are very mindful of sorting their rubbish into plastic bottles, papers, metal cans and others (which means can throw all sorts of rubbish like food and whatsoever). Even though dustbins are a scarce resource in Japan, the people still managed to keep a civic mindedness and not throw litter. The country in clean because the people play a part in keeping the streets clean by being mindful not to litter. I know this is going to sting but in singapore, our streets are clean because we have a large resource of blanglas to clear the eyesore.

Plus, the ice cream in Japan is awesome!! I've discovered that cold countries produce nice ice cream. The pastries there are fluffly soft like cotton but not overly sweet. That's why a lot of tourists spend large amounts of money purchasing japanese goodies/sweets/pastries home. I think i'll gain a whooping 10 kgs of i stay in Japan for long term...

According to our tour guide, he said that Japan has a lot of freedom. Take for example, the students in Japan are able to dress up in whatsoever way without landing themselves in discipline lectures. The schools allow students to dye their hair, have funny weird hairstyles and slap on make up to qualify for wayang. some schools even allow students to wear home clothes... Anyway, i don't mind wearing uniforms in Japan cause the uniforms there are so cool. The flipside is that there are guys who do not resemble guys because of their long shaggy hair styles and fringe that practically obscured their eyes which left me wondering how they managed to walk about on the road safely without bumping intoanything. Perhaps, they sniff their way around like dogs do? Girls tend to perm their hair afro or sweet looking styles... The fashion there in Japan is Cool as well. (i always use the word cool) haha!

The hotels provide yugatas for us to wear to bed or to hot springs. i think i look weird in it...

My first night in Japan....

Large and comfy

The splendid view outside my hotel room the next morning. There's SNOW on the ground! Splendid!

We bought strawberries back home. Juicy sweet mouthwatering strawberries. I'm craving for them...

The tidbits we'd bought...

According to the latest news report, the quantity of tidbits is diminishing due to the presence of a gluttony greedy sweet-toothed human named Hazel.
i don't mind marrying a japanese. Haha!!
